Red Leicester & Gherkin Beef Burger Stack

Prep time: 15mins – Cook time: 20mins – Serves: 2
 For those who like pickles with their burgers, this is the one! Simple and delicious! 

Ingredients:

2 Steak and Butter burgers

2 burger buns

¼ block of Cheddar, sliced

¼ block of Red Leicester, sliced

4 sliced gherkins

Salad

Burger sauce, available in various supermarkets

Chips, optional

 

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and cook the chips according to pack instructions. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and sear the burgers until they are browned on both sides. Place the burgers on a lined baking tray and put in the oven for 10 mins.
  2. Take the burgers out of the oven after 10 mins and add the 2 different cheeses on top. Place in the oven for 5-10 mins until the cheese has melted.
  3. Toast the burger bun and spread the burger sauce. Add the salad, then the burger and the gherkins on top, with more burger sauce if wanted. Enjoy!
