Transport yourself to Greece with this burger topped with grilled halloumi and tzatziki
2 Steak and Butter burgers
2 burger buns
¼ pack of halloumi cheese, sliced
1 red onion, sliced into rings
1 beef tomato, sliced
For the tzatziki:
3 tbsp of natural yoghurt
½ cucumber, chopped into little pieces
5 sprigs of mint, leaves pulled off and finely sliced
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan and sear the burgers until they are browned on both sides. Place the burgers on a lined baking tray and put in the oven at 180°C for 10 mins.
- Slice the halloumi and fry on a griddle pan until nicely charred. Slice the onion rings and tomato and place on the burgers. Put the burgers back in the oven for 5-7 mins until the tomato and onion are soft.
- To make the tzatziki, mix the yoghurt, cucumber and mint together. Spread over both sides of the burger bun, then add the burger in with the halloumi on top.
