Serves

Ingredients
-
2 packs HECK! Pumpkin Spice Sausages
-
2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry
-
3–4 tbsp tomato chutney
-
1 egg, beaten
-
1 tbsp poppy seeds
-
Kitchen string or twine
-
Small rosemary sprig or celery stick (for the stalk)
Method
-
Preheat oven to 200°C.
-
Make the filling – Remove sausage skins and mix the meat with the tomato chutney.
-
Shape & wrap – Place the mixture in the centre of a pastry sheet, shape into a ball, and wrap the pastry around it to seal. Flip it so the smooth side is on top.
-
Form the pumpkin shape – Lay 4–5 pieces of string in a star shape, place the pastry ball in the centre, and tie gently to form ridges.
-
Bake – Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with poppy seeds, and bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and cooked through.
-
Finish & serve – Rest for 5 minutes, cut off the string, and pop a rosemary sprig or celery stick on top for the stem. Serve warm and watch it disappear!
