Heck Pork, Cheddar, Honey & Mustard Sausage Canapés

Makes approximately 16-20 canapés

These simple sausage canapés deliver big flavour with minimal effort. Juicy HECK pork sausages are paired with sharp mature cheddar and finished with a sweet, tangy honey-mustard glaze. Perfect for parties, drinks receptions or festive sharing boards.

Ingredients

  • HECK pork sausages

  • Mature cheddar, cut into cubes

  • Honey

  • Dijon or wholegrain mustard

  • Cocktail sticks

Method

  1. Cook the sausages

  • Cook the sausages in a frying pan or oven until golden and cooked through.

  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

  1. Slice

  • Cut the sausages into bite-sized pieces, around 2–3 cm thick.

  1. Make the honey mustard glaze

  • Mix honey and mustard together in a 2:1 ratio (two parts honey to one part mustard).

  • Adjust to taste if you prefer it sweeter or sharper.

  1. Assemble

  • Skewer one piece of sausage and one cube of cheddar onto each cocktail stick.

  1. Finish

  • Lightly drizzle or brush the honey mustard glaze over each canapé.

  1. Serve

  • Serve warm for best flavour and texture.
