Crispy on the outside, juicy in the middle, these cornflake coated HECK Chicken Italia burgers are air fried for maximum crunch with minimal fuss. Finished with a sweet spicy gochujang mayo and fresh salad, they’re a lighter burger that still delivers big flavour.
Ingredients
- 4 Heck Chicken Italia burgers
- 1 egg
- 100 g cornflakes, crushed
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce
- 4 tbsp reduced fat mayonnaise
- 1½ tbsp gochujang
- 1 tsp honey
- ¼ cucumber thinly peeled
- 1 large tomato thinly sliced
- 1 tsp lime juice
Method
- Into a two separate bowls add your eggs, beaten and crushed cornflakes to the other.
- Now take each burger and dip into the egg then fully coat in crushed cornflakes.
- Now pop burgers into the air fryer at 180 for 15 minutes turning once, until golden brown.
- Mix honey, mayonnaise, lime juice and gochujang to create your mayo.
- Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and then sauce.
