Ingredients
-
8 HECK! 97% Chipolatas
-
200g spaghetti or linguine
-
16 edible candy eyes
For the Tomato Sauce
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 onion, finely chopped
-
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 can (400g) chopped tomatoes
-
1 tbsp tomato purée
-
1 tsp sugar
-
½ tsp dried basil or oregano
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Method
-
Start the sauce - Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and tomato purée.
-
Simmer - Add chopped tomatoes, sugar, herbs, salt and pepper. Let simmer 15–20 minutes until thickened. Blend if you like a smoother sauce.
-
Cook sausages - Fry or oven-bake the chipolatas until golden and cooked through. Set aside to cool slightly.
-
Boil pasta - Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain and cool a few minutes so it’s easier to handle.
-
Wrap mummies - Take each sausage and wrap with strands of spaghetti, leaving a little gap for the “face.” Stick on candy eyes with a dab of sauce.
-
Serve - Spoon tomato sauce onto plates, then top with two mummy sausages each.
