Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 4 HECK Steak & Butter Burgers
- 1 white onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 slices burger cheese
- Tomato ketchup
- American mustard
- Gherkins
- 1 large beef tomato
- Iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
- 2 brioche burger buns
Method:
- Finely dice the onion and fry in butter until soft, golden, and smelling amazing. Set aside.
- Smash each burger flat between baking paper to make large, thin patties.
- Barbecue burgers for around 10 mins, flipping occasionally until fully cooked.
- Add a cheese slice to each patty just before removing from the grill – let it melt into gooey goodness.
- Butter the brioche buns and toast them on the barbecue for 2–3 minutes until golden.
To build:
- Spread mustard on the bottom bun
- Add buttery onions and shredded iceberg
- Stack both cheesy patties
- Top with a slice of tomato and a few gherkin slices
- Finish with a squirt of ketchup and the top bun
