Chilli jam sausage rolls

Makes approx. 8–10 rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 pack HECK Simply Chicken Mince
  • 6 filo pastry sheets
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 4 tbsp chilli jam
  • Bagel seasoning (or sesame seeds)
  • Salt & pepper

 

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. On a non-stick surface, lay down one sheet of filo pastry and brush lightly with melted butter.
  3. Lay another sheet on top and repeat until you’ve layered three sheets.
  4. Season the chicken mince with salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon a line of mince lengthways along one edge of the pastry.
  6. Spread a line of chilli jam alongside the mince.
  7. Starting from the filled edge, carefully roll the pastry up tightly into a log.
  8. Cut into 4–5 cm pieces and place on a lined baking tray.
  9. Brush each roll with egg yolk and sprinkle with bagel seasoning.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Enjoy hot or cold!
