HECK! opened its doors to John Prescott earlier this year, who was filming a Channel 5 special about some of Yorkshire's best loved food companies.
HECK's Isabel and Mica showed John how to make HECK's delicious award winning sausages and burgers at it's sausage HQ in Kirklington. The show is part of a two part special and is shown on Channel 5 on Tuesday 10th April at 9pm.
"We're really proud of our Yorkshire roots and it was great fun inviting John Prescott to visit the factory to film along side us. Isabel and Mica were real stars of the show." explains Jamie Keeble, HECK's co-founder.
In the celebratory documentary, John Prescott goes behind the scenes of Yorkshire most famous factories to discover the surprising secrets behind the region’s iconic foods. From Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese and Vale of Mowbray Pork Pies, to HECK! sausages and Whitakers Chocolates, he meets the hard working Yorkshire workers up against tough deadlines to produce huge orders worth millions of pounds.
John spent a whole day with Mica and Isabel, working alongside the team as they made their much loved sausages, bangers and balls.
As Mica explains "John really rolled his sleeves up and was quite a whizz at making sausages. He did well to keep up with the experts on the sausage line and we also had a lot of fun inventing a new recipe, a Hull banger!"
