The HECK team hired their newest recruit Calum on C4’s The Job Interview last night. Didn’t he do well?
If you were watching C4’s The Job Interview last night you’ll have lived through the tense process that landed the newest member of our team a plum job. Calum, was hired through the show after going head to head with Stuart on a blind sausage tasting proving that he could blend creativity with science, and most importantly that he had a great palette.
Young foodie, Calum, fought off tough competition after applying to HECK Foods when they advertised for a New Product Development Manager at the new Bedale factory, affectionately known by the locals as "Sausage "World".
Calum grew up with food. His grandad and dad ran bakeries in Scotland, and his earliest memory was the smell of baking and then collecting blackberries to make into muffins with his grandfather. He learned to cook from an early age and worked hard to become a manager at Pizza Express. When he spotted the job for "Sausage Taster" advertised, he knew he had to go for his dream job as it would allow to bring all his creative food ideas to fruition.
Since starting his new position, Calum’s been working hard with the team developing new products to bring HECK fans exciting new flavours. His Naked chicken and pork skinless sausages are now on the shelves of Asda.
