Burying a sausage the night before your wedding has become a popular superstition, with brides across the nation doing whatever they can to keep the rain away and guarantee sunshine for their big day.
And this summer, one bride got in touch with us in desperate need of help. After enjoying good weather all month, she checked the forecast to discover that rain was due on her wedding day. Typical!

And so began… Project: Help the Girl Get Her Sausage!
Luckily, our bride was based in Harrogate, which isn’t too far from HECK! HQ, so we knew we had to help. We pulled out all the stops, and before long, the lucky bride had her sausage ready to bury.
But we weren’t taking any chances either. By this point, the whole team was invested in making sure this bride got her sunshine, so we even buried a sausage of our own at HECK! HQ for a little extra luck (apologies to our lovely gardener!).
And lo and behold… it worked! The lucky bride was treated to glorious sunshine on her wedding day, proving once again that perhaps there really is something to this Yorkshire tradition.
