It’s been a mission but Jack from HECK is now on target to finish his long distance walk across England just before the Christmas break. His picture from Somerset is just ‘Gorge-ous’!
Jack is walking from Kirklington in Yorkshire to Cornwall as a money-raising and awareness-raising initiative for the charity SameYou, and has already passed his target of £5,000 raised on his Just Giving page, but there is always still time to donate if you want to help cheer him on a little more!
There have been some memorable stop offs on Jack’s walk, but Cheddar Gorge in Somerset brings his end goal in sight. Jack has just passed through the Gorge on his route to Cornwall, so just had to stop off for a snap… cos… cheese!
The target is to reach Bude in Cornwall by 18 December and he is confident his feet will last out until then. Some of the HECK team are planning to walk with him on the last couple of days too, which will be welcome company after so many hours walking alone.
