BBC Show Escape to the Country Visits HECK

The well-loved BBC show Escape to the Country focused on North Yorkshire today, where Niki Chapman was given an inside-look at HECK’s vertical farm and how we’re doing our bit for the future of sustainable farming.

In today’s episode of BBC’s Escape to the Country, there was a spotlight on North Yorkshire and the amazing food companies and jobs there are in the area. HECK’s Jamie gave Niki Chapman a tour of our vertical farm, where she got a sneak-peek into the steps we are taking to reduce our food miles through growing our own spinach and basil for our vegan range. Niki also got to see first-hand how our sausages are made and the hard work and care that our team puts into producing the very best so we can give you HECK’s flavour you can swear by.

Jamie said “It was great to show Niki around. There are some amazing food companies in this area – it’s like a silicon valley of food. And we also work really hard to give the best opportunities to make HECK a fun and flexible place to work. It’s hard work making sausages, as Niki found out, but we make sure our team have the best environment to work in.”

If you missed the show you can watch it here, where we make our appearance at 35:15!
