HECK! Italia Sandwich with rashers, burrata, Parma ham, and pesto in ciabatta

If you’re craving a sandwich that’s more than just a sandwich, this one’s got your name all over it. The HECK! Italia Sandwich is a bold Italian-inspired feast, stacked with crispy HECK! Italia rashers, creamy burrata, salty Parma ham, and roasted tomatoes that bring the sweetness.

Served up in warm, crusty ciabatta with a good hit of pesto, it’s the kind of lunch that turns an ordinary day into a proper occasion. Perfect for sharing at picnics, slicing up for weekend gatherings, or treating yourself when you want to go all out.

Ingredients

  • 4 HECK! Italia rashers

  • 1 half-baked ciabatta loaf

  • 100g pesto

  • 1 burrata

  • 30g rocket

  • 6–8 slices Parma ham

  • 300g baby vine tomatoes

  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 6–7 fresh basil leaves

Method

  1. Preheat oven - Set to 200°C.

  2. Roast tomatoes - Place tomatoes and garlic in a small ovenproof dish and roast 10–15 minutes until softened.

  3. Bake bread - Cook ciabatta according to packet instructions.

  4. Cook rashers - Fry in a pan for 5 minutes until golden. Set aside.

  5. Build base - Slice ciabatta, spread pesto over both sides.

  6. Layer fillings - Add burrata, rashers, rocket, and roasted tomatoes.

  7. Finish - Top with Parma ham and basil, close the sandwich.

  8. Serve - Wrap in parchment and slice into 3–4 portions. Enjoy warm or cold.
