Blogger and Photographer Mandy Charlton created this recipe for Sugar-Free February. Fakekushari is an adaptation of Kushari, a traditional Egyptian meal and it’s entirely vegetarian and vegan friendly too. This recipe is a delicious melding of flavours that makes a great meal for two. You can also try this recipe with HECK Sweet Fusion veggie bangers or HECK Bollywood veggie bangers. Experiment and mix up those flavours!
HECK Super Greens veggie bangers
1 bag of baby spinach
1 tin of butterbeans
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
Half a teaspoon of cumin
Half a teaspoon of Chilli Powder
Quarter of a teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
Salt and pepper to season
Squeeze of honey (optional)

Cook the Super Greens Veggie Bangers in the oven.
Prepare some Puy lentils and then add to a wok or frying pan, season and add spinach.
In another pan, combine the butterbeans, the spices and the chopped tomatoes together and some honey according to taste.
When the veggie balls are cooked, serve with the lentils and the beans on the side
