Vegfurter Burrito

Prep time: 10 minutes.  Cook time: 15 minutes   Serves: 4

This Vegan Burrito is stuffed with our Heck Vegfurter, rice, sweetcorn, sweet red pepper and crunchy spring onions coated in cumin and smoky paprika. They are the perfect answer for a quick easy dinner without compromising on flavour! 


  • 1 Pack Heck Vegfurters
  • 1 Red Pepper
  • 4 Spring Onions
  • 1 Small Can Sweetcorn
  • ½ Packet precooked rice
  • 1 ½ Tsp Paprika
  • 1 Tsp Cumin
  • Shredded salad
  • 60g Grated Vegan Cheese
  • 90g Vegan sour cream alternative – we used coconut yogurt
  • 100g Salsa – homemade or store bought
  • 100g Guacamole – homemade or store bought
  • 4 Gluten free tortillas


  1. Pan-fry the Vegfurters on medium heat for 15 minutes
  2. In the meantime, cut the spring onions into rings and slice the red pepper
  3. When the sausages are almost done, add the sliced peppers to the pan to soften
  4. In a bowl, add the sweetcorn, peppers and spring onions. Mix in the cumin and paprika powder
  5. Heat up the rice in the microwave according to packet instructions and start to assemble the burrito
  6. Place all the ingredients onto one end of the tortilla so it can be easily folded into a burrito at the end. Start by adding the heated rice, a small handful of salad, 1 Vegfurter, the mix of sweetcorn, spring onions and peppers, a handful of vegan cheese and finally finish with a spoon each of the guacamole, salsa and the vegan sour cream
  7. Fold the length side over the fillings and fold the bottom in, then roll up the tortilla to form the burrito
