This Caesar Style Sausage Wrap recipe is elevated by the irresistible Italian flavours of our Vegan Italia Sausages and the smokiness of the tofu. Wrap it all together for a delicious lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 Heck! Vegan Italia Sausages
- 2 Gluten-Free Warburtons Wraps
- 1/2 Iceberg Lettuce (Shredded)
- 2 slices Dairy-Free Cheeze
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 100g Smoked Tofu (cut into mini cubes)
- 2 tbsp Tamari Soy Sauce
For the dressing
- 30g Cashews
- 90ml Water
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1⁄2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1⁄2 tsp Black Pepper
- Cook your sausages according to packaging instructions.
- In a non-stick frying pan, heat the olive oil and place your cubed, smoked tofu inside. Fry whilst stirring regularly until your cubes are becoming crispy then pour in the tamari and remove from the heat
- To create the dressing, place the cashews into boiling water for 20 minutes, then transfer the drained nuts to a blender alongside the rest of the ingredients and blend until you get a smooth dressing.
- Toast your wraps in a large pan without oil, then place your cut up sausages & iceberg lettuce inside. Sprinkle with chunks of vegan cheeze and the tofu cubes, then drizzle with the dressing and serve.
