A hearty stew made with Paprika Chicken Chipolatas and a handful of fresh colorful vegetables. If you've never tried winter greens, now is the time. Even after long cooking, they've still got a bite.
Ingredients
- 1 pack Heck! Paprika Sausages
- 200g Cavolo Nero
- 2 x Large Carrots
- 1 x White Onion
- 1 x 400g Tin of chopped tomatoes
- 1 x Tin of water
- 1 x Chicken or vegetable stock cube
- 1 x Tin of Cannellini Beans
- 2 x Bay leaves
- 1tsp Paprika
- Salt & Pepper
- Olive Oil
Method
- In a large casserole saucepan / pot on a medium-high heat, add in some olive oil along with chopped onion, carrots, and bay leaves. Allow to cook until softened and slightly golden brown onions.
- Add in the HECK Paprika Sauces and allow to cook until nicely browned (around 8-10 minutes)
- Add in the chopped tomatoes, cannellini beans, water, stock cube, paprika, seasoning and chopped cavolo nero
- Reduce the heat and allow to simmer for around 15-20 minutes, stirring every so often to ensure nothing is sticking to the bottom of the pan
- Once everything has thickened up and bubbled away for a while, you’re ready to serve up Tip: This would work just as well in a slow cooker too if you have one
- Serve up with a dollop of creamy mash and any extra winter veg you fancy - Green beans are always a good choice
Enjoy!
