Three quick and easy dip recipes to serve along side our Piri Piri and Italia Posh Nuggets. Make ahead for a speedy starter or as part of a buffet table.
INGREDIENTS
1 x pack Piri Piri Chicken Posh Nuggets
1 x pack Chicken Italia Posh Nuggets
Sour cream and chive dip:
2 garlic cloves
100g sour cream
100g creme fraiche
1 tbsp chopped fresh chives
2 tbsp lemon juice
Houmous:
200g/ canned chickpeas
2 tbsp lemon juice or more
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp ground cumin
pinch salt
1 tbsp tahini
4 tbsp water
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Garlic Aioli:
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 tbsp lemon juice
150g mayonnaise
1 tsp dijon mustard
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 180°c/356F. Place the nuggets onto two oven trays and bake for 20 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Meanwhile prep the dips, these can be done ahead of time if necessary.
- For the garlic and chive dip, crush the garlic in a pestle and mortar until a paste forms, add to a bowl with the sour cream, creme fraiche, chives and lemon juice and stir until fully combined.
- For the humous, drain the chickpeas and rinse. Combine the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, tahini, and water in a food processor, and blend to a creamy puré Spoon into a serving bowl and finally drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
- For the garlic aioli, put all the ingredients in a small bowl along with 1 tbsp of boiling water. Mix everything until really well combined.
Serve the crispy nuggets alongside the three dips.
