Chicken Italia Carbonara

                          Prep time: 5mins - Cook time: 20mins - Serves 4

Just a handful of ingredients make a fantastic carbonara, we've topped ours with homemade chicken meatballs. Use our Chicken Italia Mince for a truly Italian kick!

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Chicken Italia Mince (500g)
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 1 pack Spaghetti
  • 6 Bacon Rashers (chopped)
  • 35g Parmesan (grated)
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 Handful Parsley (chopped)
  • Salt & pepper

Method

  1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan

  2. Fill a large pan with water, bring to the boil with a sprinkle salt and a splash of oil

  3. Mix the mince in a bowl slightly so it begins to come together and then roll into small meat- balls, you should be able to get about 2025

  4. Place the meatballs into the pan and keep stirring around so they don’t catch!

  1. Place the spaghetti into the pan of boiling water

  2. Add the chopped bacon to the meatballs and fry till crispy

  3. In a bowl mix together the eggs, parmesan and a sprinkle of pepper

  4. Using tongs add the pasta to the pan of meatballs and stir in the egg mixture along with one ladle of the pasta sauce

Serve with a sprinkle of parsley and Parmesan
